‘Santvana’ scheme to the rescue of flood and communal clash victims

Bengaluru, Oct. 19: Santvana, a scheme to help the victims of flood, fire mishaps, communal clashes and natural calamities, has been formulated said Karnataka Minorities Welfare Corporation
Housing and Minorities Welfare Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan.

Participating at a function organised by the minorities department he said the scheme aims to provide a loan of Rs 5 lakh for the victims of natural calamities and communal clashes to re-build the homes, shops and hopes

Of the total loan amount of Rs 5 lakh, 50 per cent will be the loan componeny and the remaining will be the subsidy. The rate of interest will be at Rs 3 per cent per annum. With this assistance the victims could start a new business or other jobs.

He said this scheme would be of much help for the Minority communities families and help to come out of problems
Earlier, the minister took part in the administrative meeting of the KMDC. The KMDC MD Nazeer, Department Director Manoj Jain were present.

On this occasion, Zameer Ahmed Khan along with Planning Minister D Sudhakar discussed the schemes of the Minorities Welfare Department.
The meeting was held at the KMDC auditorium and discussed regarding the schemes of the Housing and Minorities Welfare.

Slums Development Board Commissioner Venkatesh, Housing Board Commissioner Kavita Mannikeri, Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation Magaging Director Susheelamma and others were present.
