New Delhi, Aug 3: Declining to comment on Prajwal Revanna’s conviction as it would be construed as politically motivated, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that the reactions of JDS and BJP leaders were more important than his.
Speaking to reporters, he said, “You should ask for the reactions of JDS and BJP leaders than asking for my comments. They have to tell us what is right and what is wrong. We respect the law and abide by it. Why are BJP leaders including C T Ravi, Ashok and Narayanaswamy not talking about this?” He was replying to a question on Prajwal Revanna’s life sentence.
Asked about Prajwal Revanna terming the allegations as a conspiracy during the trial, he said, “I don’t know about it and I do not want to comment on the court’s judgement.”
Asked about Rahul Gandhi’s protest, he said, “I will not talk about it now, he will talk about it during the ‘Save Constitution Save Democracy’ protest.”
Asked about protest by transport workers clashing with Rahul Gandhi’s protest, he said, “They are protesting for their own agenda. They had asked for time some time back. The Transport minister has already spoken to them, it will be resolved soon.”
