CM releases State’s instalment of Rs 956 cr benefiting 47.86 lakh farmers
Bengaluru, June 2: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai released State’s instalment of Rs 2000 each for the beneficiary farmers of the State under the PM-KISAN-Karnataka scheme on Thursday.
The Chief Minister released a total amount of Rs 956.71 cr to the accounts of 47.86 lakh farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer system.
So far the State government has paid out Rs 3861.66 cr for the farmers under the PM-KISAN-Karnataka scheme as its contribution.
The union government has released Rs 8702.29 cr since 2019 upto March this year benefiting 53.83 lakh farmers under the scheme. On May 31 the Prime Minister released Rs 1279.86 cr to the accounts of 49.30 lakh farmers in the State.
Agriculture minister BC Patil, Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma and other officials were also present.
