*Bengaluru, June 15: Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President D K Shivakumar today said that the Congress party would be strengthened from the grassroots level in the State as per the advice of senior party leaders.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of senior party leaders at the KPCC office, he said, “Senior leaders of the Party have advised us not to give up on the core principles of the Party. We have also been advised to strengthen the party from the grassroots level.”
Beware of traps
“We have called for a meeting of chairmen of Corporations and Boards to brief them on their conduct. We will advise them on how to interact with people, how to function effectively. It is important that they function smartly as certain elements will always be trying to trap them,” he said.
Asked about Union Minister Kumaraswamy’s statement that former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is being subject to vendetta politics, he said, “We don’t have the need to do vendetta politics. Law has taken its course. I am not fully aware of the developments and hence I would not like to comment on that.”
