Bengaluru, Sep 27: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today said the only objective of the government in the Dharmasthala case was to bring out the truth.
Speaking to reporters at this Sadashivanagar residence, he said, “Let the detailed investigative report come and then I will comment on it. I have seen Veerendra Heggade’s media statement. There is no point in responding to it before the investigation report comes out. People may make political comments but I can’t talk like that being part of a government. The CM or the Home Minister will issue an official statement once the report comes and then I will talk about it.” He was replying to a question on Veerendra Heggade’s statement that he is absolved of the accusation after the formation of the SIT.
Asked if action would take action against those who are trying to mislead the government even after the PIL is quashed, he said, “I don’t want to talk about it now. The PIL in Supreme Court is quashed. I am also aware that the Court has rebuked the PIL applicants but nobody is talking about the Court’s ruling. We are also aware that they had taken the skull to Delhi. Let the report from the investigative team come officially and then I will comment.”
