Hubballi, Nov 9:
Former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai said that if the principles of Jainism are followed, there will be no room for violence or terrorism in the world.
He visited the South India Jain Sabha in Hubballi today and received the blessings of 108 Punya Sagar Munimaharaj.
Speaking on the occasion, he said since he contested from the Shiggaon constituency in 2008, he had always sought the blessings of the Swamiji. There is nothing more to say about the Jain community, which has a unique and disciplined structure. If the principles of the Jain community are followed, there will be no wars or terrorism in this world. Unfortunately, terrorism is happening in the name of religion. Some people believe that committing acts of terror will bring them closer to God.
He said violence has no place in Jainism, Buddhism, or Hinduism. These religions are born out of sacrifice, unlike certain others. The book written by Sagar Muni Maharaj is an excellent one and offers solutions to the most complex problems with ease. There exists a guru-disciple relationship between us, and he has always blessed me. ” I have allocated ₹12 crores for the construction of Jain basadis in Shiggaon taluk. The community hall in Aratal will be inaugurated in three to four months,” he said.
During the visit, he also requested to vote for Bharat Bommai.
