Bengaluru, June 23:
The eagerly awaited auditions for the eighth edition of Miss and Mrs India Karnataka 2024 successfully began at Tulip Inn Hotel, off Sankey Road on Saturday. The event marked a significant milestone in the pageant’s history, bringing together remarkable women from all over Karnataka, each vying for the coveted titles. The auditions saw an impressive turnout, with participants showcasing their grace, confidence, and unique talents. The categories included Miss India Karnataka for unmarried women of all ages (above 18 years) and Mrs India Karnataka with segments for ages 22-40, 41-60, and 60 plus, reinforcing the pageant’s mantra that “age is just a number.”
The event was judged by an esteemed panel including Ms. Poornima Ramesh (Miss Canada South Asia, Miss India Global, and a dentist currently residing in Canada); Mr. Satish Cadabom (internationally renowned dog breeder and CEO of Cadabom Foundation); and Ms. Anitha Hareesh (Vice-President of Axis Bank).
Ms Pratibha Saunshimath, the visionary behind the pageant and the first South Indian to win an international title post-marriage (Classic Mrs. Asia International Photogenic 2015), expressed her pride in the event’s success. “Our pageant has always been about more than beauty; it’s about empowerment and transformation. We are thrilled to see such diverse participation and enthusiasm. This year, with the introduction of the Miss India Karnataka category, we continue to break barriers and redefine beauty standards,” she said.
The state finals are scheduled to take place in August 2024 at The Kings Meadows, Vidyaranyapura. This three-day event will feature contestants in at least six to eight themed costume rounds, each accompanied by professional photoshoots and videos. Esteemed designers FNR Boutique, Prisara Designer Company, and Yellow Bloom will create the stunning outfits for the finals. The finalists will participate in innovative and engaging activities, continuing the pageant’s tradition of blending glamour with authentic cultural experiences. Following the success of last year’s pyjama-themed photoshoot and traditional sports-themed activities, this year promises even more creative surprises.
Since its inception in 2016, Mrs India Karnataka has become a transformative platform for married women, empowering them to showcase their talents and personalities. Founded by Ms Pratibha Saunshimath, it celebrates diversity, resilience, and the timeless essence of beauty.
