Discussion to hold a meaningful conference: CM Siddaramaiah
Bangalore, June 26: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced that it has been decided to hold the 87th All India Kannada Sahithya Sammelana at Mandya on December 20, 21 and 22.
He briefed the media after holding a preliminary meeting with the Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Mandya District Administration, District In-charge Minister and MLAs at his Home Office Krishna today.
Earlier it was decided to organize the conference in the month of June. But it was postponed due to the Election Code of Conduct. Now it is decided to hold the Sammelan in the month of December. A large number of Kannadigas from the state, outside the state and abroad are expected to participate. He said that he would request Kannadigas to participate in this conference in large numbers.
