CM suffering from Modi phobia: Bommai
Bengaluru, Jan. 19: The BJP will hold a huge protest rally in front of the Haveri SP office in Haveri on January 20 to demand refer the Hangal gangrape case to Special Investigation Team, said former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Talking to reporters here on Thursday, he said the protest rally would be attended by Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly R.Ashok, state leaders and district leaders. The Haveri cops had attempted to hush up the Haveri Moral policing case and the gangrape cases. The state home minister and the Haveri SP were not ready to admit it. But now the Hangal police personnel had been kept under suspension. This clearly indicated the dereliction of duty of the local cops. Politics has been playing a vital role in maintaining law and order. The Hangal cops have acted against rules. The victim had been denied a proper medical treatment. The CM has been negligent in this incident. In the wake of this, the BJP has planned a mammoth protest in front of the Haveri SP office on January 20. Denying the SIT probe shows the government’s support to the accused.
Modi phobia grips the CM
The BJP leader said that the CM Siddaramaiah has been gripped by the Modi phobia. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been giving a good governance and implemented several welfare schemes. Modi is all set to become the PM for the third consecutive time. Unable to digest this, Siddaramaiah had been making baseless allegation against Modi. The CM’s son and former MLA Dr Yatindra Siddaramaiah had said that his father would continue in the same post if the Congress party would win more number of seats. That means, Siddaramaiah was scared of losing the CM’s post of the party wins less seats. For this reason, whenever Modi visits Karnataka, the Congress leaders would release the fake documents to mislead people
Bommai held Siddaramaiah responsible for the decrease in the state’s fund from 4.7 percent to 3.6 percent for not explaining the real financial position to the 15th Finance Commission. When the UPA Government was in power did it give the flood relief to the then BJP government? The previous BJP government had distributed Rs 2500 crore flood relief amount to farmers withiut waiting for the funds from the Government of India. The people voted for the Congress Party ti give a good governance but the party was derailing the state economy in the name of guarantee schemes which would cost the government a whopping Rs 30000 crores. But no money has been reserved for this purpose. Funds has been released for development and the MLAs have openly said about it. To pacify those legislators, the government has promised Rs 25 crore for each MLA. ” When I was the CM, even the then opposition Congress MLAs had been given Rs 25 crore each. The same yardstick must be applied. The MLAs in the current dispensation are the unluckiest lot”.
Let CM come for a debate with BJP IT cell youths
On the CM’s open on invitation to Modi on the funds from the centre, the former CM said Siddaramaiah knew well that he cannot take on the PM . So, let him engage with a debate with the BJP IT cell youths who are packed with all details.
On the state government’s attempts to implement internal reservation for the SC’s, the former CM said the same has been recommended to the government of India during the previous BJP regime. What’s unscientific is there in it?
Reacting to Karwar BJP MP Ananth Kumar Hegde’s statement, Bommai sought to clarify that none was defending his statement and everyone must be careful while speaking. The CM addresses everyone on this planet singularly but he tells it wrong if others talk in the same language. This has been the biggest question now, he added.
