Bengaluru, March 15: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today said that the BJP was resorting to propaganda to put the government in bad light.
Speaking to reporters at Vidhana Soudha, he said, “Rather than doing politics on water, the BJP must get approval for Mekedatu project as it would solve all the water issues in Bengaluru. They have launched a misinformation campaign unable to bear the government’s efficient handling of the water crisis.”
“In the current scenario, there is no connection between Tamil Nadu and water crisis in Bengaluru. Tamil Nadu has not even asked for water from Karnataka. The water is released from KRS to ensure adequate water supply to Bengaluru,” he said.
Asked if there are takers for processed water, he said there are many people who are buying wlprocessed water. It is being used for gardens, industries, etc.
Asked about Amit Shah’s comments that India bloc would not come to power, he said, “They have introduced CAA now as they fear losing elections.
Asked about sitting BJP missing tickets, he said, “As per my information, 10 sitting MPS will miss tickets. It is their party’s internal matter, ai won’t comment on it “
Asked if any BJP MP who has missed the ticket was joing the Congress, he said, “I can’t comment on that at this moment.”
