Bengaluru, June 2: It has been decided to expedite the implementation of ongoing infrastructure projects in Bengaluru, Chief Minister Basavavarj Bommai said.
Speaking to media reporters after participating in a meeting in the BJP head office he said, many civic works have been taken up in Bengaluru under the Nagarothana Yojane. The works have been affected due to recent rains. Now works are being speeded up. Tendering process has been completed for the Suburban Rail project and work would start soon. Action is being taken to complete the Metro Phase 2 one year ahead of the earlier schedule. Work on major drains is being taken up. Orders have been issued to take up works on development of 75 parks and lakes. Administrative approvals have been given for many civic works in Bengaluru, Bommai said.
