Bangalore, June 14:

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot emphasized the crucial role of youth in strengthening India’s position on the global stage. Speaking at the declaration of autonomous status and the graduation day ceremony of St. Francis De Sales College in Bengaluru, the Governor highlighted the significant progress India has made since independence, becoming the world’s 5th largest economy.

In his address, Governor Gehlot remarked, “It is time to elevate our nation to the ranks of the best countries globally. The Government of India is committed to making India the largest economy in the world, and youth cooperation is essential in this endeavor.”

Congratulating St. Francis De Sales College on achieving autonomous status, the Governor praised the institution’s commitment to quality education, innovative teaching, and holistic student development. “Autonomous status is a testament to the college’s excellence and comes with significant responsibilities,” he said. “It allows the institution to design curricula that meet industry demands, update courses with global trends, and innovate teaching methods.”

Governor Gehlot further stated, “This autonomy enables the college to better fulfill students’ aspirations and societal needs, ensuring the quality of education remains exemplary. It prepares students to face the competitive world with confidence and competence.”

Addressing the graduating students, the Governor expressed his best wishes and urged them to become inspirations for future generations. “With the knowledge acquired here, participate in building ‘Ek Bharat – Shrestha Bharat’ and ‘Swavalambi Bharat.’ Education is crucial for success and enhances skills across all life domains.”

The Governor also stressed the importance of environmental conservation, noting, “Environmental imbalance is a critical global issue. Protecting and promoting the environment is our collective responsibility. We must intensify efforts to conserve water, forests, and air. Every citizen must contribute to environmental protection.”
