Bengaluru. Jan 27.
Ours has been a responsive government. We have responded appropriately whenever faced with problems. Programmes would be formulated comprehensively for the welfare of the people, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
Speaking to media persons he said, “ours is a responsive government. Therefore there is no need for specific occasions like completing 100 days or 6 months to announce new programmes. For instance, we made arrangements for procurement of Jowar immediately on receiving a request. Similarly, there is a demand for continuing procurement of Ragi. That too would be placed before the cabinet sub-committee and arrangements would be made to help the farmers. We respond immediately to people’s problems. There is no need of any occasion for that,” Bommai said.
No Birthday celebration
February 28 is the birthday of Chief Minister Bommai, and when asked about how it would be celebrated, Bommai said, “I have never celebrated my birthday. So, there will be no celebration tomorrow as well.”
