Bengaluru, May 21: The first day of the Common Entrance Test (CET-23) conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) was held in a hassle-free manner at 592 centres across the state on Saturday.
In an official communication, Ramya, ED, KEA, stated that out of 2,61,610 registered candidates, a total of 2,00,457 (82.53%) candidates appeared for Biology and 2,39,716 (93.78%) candidates attended for Mathematics.
Students who had their centres in Bengaluru also reached their centres without any difficulty. In view of the oath-taking ceremony of the new chief minister held here, KEA had taken several measures to facilitate the easy commute of students anticipating traffic congestion. Besides, it had asked students writing exams in Bengaluru to reach their venues two hours before the scheduled time. Police personnel were also instructed to help students reach their centres on time.
On Sunday (today) examination will be conducted for Physics and Chemistry papers as scheduled.
