Following extensive complaints by the BMRCL commuters about the delay in the process of online recharge credits to their travel cards, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has come out with instant knline credit recharge credits. According to an official communique from the BMRCL, it is brought to the notice of public that BMRCL has upgraded its fare collection system and has commissioned “Card Top-up Terminals’ (CTT) at all metro stations for instant online recharge credits.
The Commuters who have recharged their travel cards through online modes such as Namma Metro Mobile App, BMRC website, Phone-Pe and PayTM can present their travel cards at these Card Top-up Terminals for the recharge amounts to be reflected on their travel cards instantly.However, they are required to present their cards at the CTTS within 60 days.
The steps to use ‘Card Top-up Terminals’ (CTT) are as follows:
1) Recharge the travel card with desired amount through online modes such as Namma Metro Mobile App. BMRC website, Phone-Pay and PayTM.
2) On successful online recharge, present the travel card at the CTT.
3) Select the desired language (Kannada or English)
4) Click on the button “CLAIM ONLINE TOP-UP”. (‘ಆನ್-ಲೈನ್ ಟಾಪ್ ಅಪ್ಗಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಿರಿ)
5) On confirming “YES” the recharged amount will be topped-up to the travel card and the balance the card will be updated.The CTTS are installed near the Customer Care Centers of all metro stations. The commuters may use these terminals to view the balance on their travel cards
