Mass Cleaning Drive in Sarvagnanagar Division – 10.5 Tons of Waste Cleared

With the objective of enhancing the city’s cleanliness and aesthetics, a mass cleaning drive was conducted today under the leadership of Sri Pommala Sunil Kumar, Commissioner, Bengaluru North City Corporation, in the Sarvagnanagar Division.
The drive covered a stretch of 2.7 kilometers from Vemana Circle (Banaswadi) to ITC Bridge, during which a total of 157 pourakarmikas, 5 tractors, and 1 JCB machine were deployed to carry out extensive debris and waste clearance operations.

Through this initiative, 6 tons of solid waste and 4.5 tons of construction debris — a total of 10.5 tons of waste — were successfully removed and disposed of.
Commissioner Sri Pommala Sunil Kumar appreciated the dedicated efforts of the city corporation staff, who work tirelessly every day to maintain urban cleanliness, and urged citizens to cooperate and support the corporation’s efforts in keeping the city clean.
The cleaning operation saw active participation from the Executive Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Junior Health Inspectors, Pourakarmikas, and Supervisors of the Sarvagnanagar Division.
