Bengaluru, May 11: Saturday was a momentous day for APS College of Engineering (APSCE), as the Anantha Gnana Gangothri campus of APS Trust came alive with a series of grand events celebrating the institution’s rich legacy and its dynamic future.

The day witnessed the inauguration of three key facilities – the APS Entrance Arch, the APS Fitness Center, and the APS Open Auditorium – alongside the celebration of APS Engineering College Day, marking a proud milestone in the institution’s journey.

The event was graced by Justice Indresh, Judge, Karnataka High Court, as the Chief Guest. He inaugurated the new facilities and offered his heartfelt wishes for the continued success and expansion of APS Institutions.

Addressing the gathering he acknowledged the positive impact of APS in the educational landscape, stating that APS is increasingly being recognized for its academic excellence and meaningful contributions to society.

Joining him as the Guest of Honour was Santosh Sridhar, an accomplished alumnus and Principal QA Engineer at Oracle, who expressed his admiration for the institution’s holistic growth and its eco-friendly, student-centered campus environment.

The entire APS family – including Trustees, Members of the Trust, Faculty, Students, and over 7,000 Alumni – came together in a vibrant celebration of the institution’s enduring spirit.

CA Dr. Vishnu Bharath Alampalli, President of APS Trust, highlighted the Trust’s 90-year legacy of excellence, providing education from Kindergarten to Postgraduate programs, including MBA and MCA. He proudly announced a significant achievement: APS has been awarded a prestigious DRDO project to develop a Humanoid Robot designed to potentially replace soldiers in battlefield scenarios – a remarkable recognition of the institution’s research capabilities.

He also emphasized the development of Kanakapura Road into a National Highway, which created the need for a prominent entrance arch, while the new fitness center and open auditorium were developed to support the physical well-being and overall growth of students.

In his remarks, Dr. Alampalli also mentioned recent milestones, including the massive Alumni Meet and the successful Education Expo and Job Fair, both of which reflected the institution’s strong industry and community engagement. Looking ahead, he reiterated the Trust’s commitment to launching ambitious, student- and community-focused initiatives that will further solidify APS’s position as a leader in education and innovation.

Prof. A. Prakash, General Secretary of APS Institutions, also addressed the gathering and paid a heartfelt tribute to his father, Prof. N. Ananthaachar, whose visionary leadership laid the foundation for the APS legacy. He credited his father for transforming barren land into a flourishing educational haven that continues to empower generations of learners across all sections of society.

The day concluded with a solemn and respectful tribute to the brave soldiers of India, with heartfelt wishes and prayers offered in their honor – symbolizing the institution’s commitment not only to education but also to the spirit of national service.
