Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait assaulted with mic in city
Bengaluru, May 30: Monday is probably one of the embarrassing and unforgettable days for farmer leader Rakesh Tikait as his face was not only blackened but was assaulted with a media mic.
High drama prevailed at Gandhi Bhavan when an unidentified man walked straight on the dais and asdaulted Tikait with a microphone. At the blink of eye another person appeared from nowhere and blackened Tikait’s face with ink.
Soon after that, the duo was assaulted by the people present at the event. Subsequently, they were handed over to High Grounds police.
It is purportedly learnt that Rakesh Tikait was in the city to clarify about a sting operation by a news channel involving a senior farmer leader.
The video of the brawl has gone viral on social media.
While speaking about the embarrassing event, Rakesh Tikait blamed the BJP government for not providing adequate security.
It may be recalled that Rakesh Tikait was ousted from Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) for pallegedly playing politics.
