Bengaluru shines as beacon of India’s future: Rajnath Singh

Bengaluru, In a glowing endorsement of Bengaluru and Karnataka’s prowess, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday, hailed the state as the driving force behind India’s promising future, emphasising its role as a prime destination for global investments.
Speaking after inaugurating state’s flagiship event- GIM Invest Karnataka 2025- Global Investors here at the Bengaluru Palace Grounds, Singh commended the state’s world-class infrastructure, thriving business ecosystem, and cutting-edge innovation, all of which have transformed Karnataka into a beacon of opportunity for investors.
Addressing an audience of more than 5,000 business representatives from across the globe, Singh confidently stated, “If there are doubts about India’s future, a visit to Bengaluru will dispel them. The city’s remarkable strides in IT, startups, and revolutionary research are setting the stage for India to lead the world.”
The meet, which will continue until February 14, is poised to highlight Karnataka’s status as a powerhouse of knowledge and wealth.
Bengaluru, recognised as the nation’s technology capital, is emerging as a hub for artificial intelligence, aerospace, and talent, with the youth-driven energy and ambition of the city spearheading India’s ascent in the global arena, he said. The city which led IT revolution in India will produce Artificial Intelligence Foundation Model for the nation, he added.
Singh, reflecting on the tremendous growth the state has witnessed, noted, “Karnataka is where knowledge and prosperity converge. Bengaluru’s transformative work in fields such as artificial intelligence and space technology is propelling the country to new heights, and soon, we will see the world’s first AI model emerge from here.”
With Karnataka’s robust human resources and talent pool, Singh expressed firm confidence in the state’s continued rise as a global leader in technological innovation. He emphasised that only a market-based economy, supported by strong private entrepreneurship, could create a sustainable future for the nation. “India is rapidly emerging as the largest market in the world, and with Karnataka’s vision and leadership, we are poised to capitalise on this growth,” he added.
Praising the state’s shift from bureaucratic red tape to a welcoming environment for investors, Singh highlighted how Bengaluru’s significant role in India’s progress, especially in the aerospace sector, was further evidence of the state’s pivotal position in the country’s global success.
