High Court turns down need for CBI probe
Bengaluru Express
Bengaluru, Feb. 7: In a major relief to chief minister Siddaramaiah, the High Court refused to transfer the investigation by the Lokayukta sleuths into the alleged MUDA scam, involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Justice M Nagaprasanna said, “The material on record does not indicate that investigation conducted by Lokayukta is partisan or shoddy for this court to refer the matter to CBI for deeper investigation. Petition is dismissed.”
Speaking on the verdict Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) minister Priyank Kharge said that Let the law take its own course and nobody is trying to scuttle the investigation. CM is clear and co-operating for investigation.
