N Cheluvarayaswamy demands ED and IT agencies to probe into Kumarswamy’s dealings
Bengaluru, Nov. 11:
Agriculture minister, N Cheluvarayaswamy alleged that Union minister, H D Kumarswamy has collected over Rs 1000 crore from various Steel manufacturing units across the country in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to find Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and by-elections in Karnataka.
He further charged that the BJP and its allies have become more desperate to win elections by any means including adopting wrong means to win elections. Fear of losing elections BJP and allies have decided to win elections through distributing huge quantities of cash in elections.
Cheluvarayaswamy charged that Kumaraswamy as union minister taken responsibility of funding elections not only in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, but also decided to pump in huge quantity of money to retain Channapatna assembly seat as well as in Shiggaon and Sandur by-elections too.
“I have received information about Kumaraswamy collecting over Rs 1000 crore for this purpose from ‘insiders who are known to me’ working with various steel manufacturing units. Therefore, I demand ED and IT departments to investigate into these allegations and take action against Kumaraswamy,” he said and also appealed to Election Commission to take cognisance of these allegations.
Pointing out at the BJP collecting funds worth Rs 1751 crore through electoral bonds, Cheluavarayaswamy said that the BJP had been orchestrating raids on various companies through ED, IT and other agencies and these elections are no different from previous ones as the BJP would have collected money from various units in the country to fund these elections.
He also alleged that Kumaraswamy had also been involved in collecting funds from mine owners in the past and after the JDS became BJP’s partner, the BJP has been going slow on investigations related to Kumaraswamy’s kickbacks of the past.
