Bengaluru, Oct. 20: The installation (Chara Pratishapana Mahotsava) of state’s 63-feet-tall statue of lord Sri Ramanjaneya by Sri Rama Seva Mandali at Sri Rama Mandir, Rajajinagar will be unveiled in grand manner in a-three-day on starting from October 21. The idol is being installed ceremonially on 23rd.
Addressing a media conference, Magadi Kempegowda Development Committee Chairman H.M. Krishnamurthy, Sriram Seva Board President K.S. Sridhar, former BBMP members Mohan Kumar, Mrs. Jayaratna, Shilpi Jeevan Shivamogga informed about the three day programme.
The installation of the idol will be done in the august presence of religious leaders, priests and political leaders of the state, amidst the enthusiasm of the devotees, they informed at the press conference.
On October 21 evening, Ganapati Puja, Vidwajja’s prayer, deity prayer, Kalasa pratishtapana will start auspiciously. On 22nd in the morning, the worship of the 63 feet Sri Ramanjaneya Charapratishthan, Homa Sankalpa will begin under the leadership of Siddaganga Math Siddalingamahaswamiji. On the 23rd at 11 am, Sri Ramanjaneya’s charapratishtapana and lokarpana (unveiling) will be performed by Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Pejavar Math, Nirmalanandanath Swamiji of Adi Chunchanagiri Mahasansthan.
Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Minister of State for Railways and Hydropower Planning V. Somanna, Minister of State for Small and Medium Enterprises Shobha Karandlaje, Ministers Ramalinga Reddy, Dinesh Gundurao, Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee State President HM Revanna, MLA Dr. C. .N. Aswath Narayan, K. Gopaliah, Rajya Sabha member Sudhanshu Trivedi will participate. Lok Sabha member PC Mohan, Rajajinagar MLA S. Suresh Kumar, political leader RV Harish are cooperating in Sri Ramanjaney’s Char Pratishtapana Reception Committee. The 63ft Sri Ramanjaneya Charamurthy was completed by Shilpi (sculptor) Jeevan of Shimoga in a span of 8 months.
The program is being held under the guidance of holy place Dharamsthala dharmadhikari Virendra Hegde, former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, film actors Hat trick hero Shivraj Kumar, Ramesh Aravind, Srimuruli and BJP Rashtriya General Secretary BL Santosh, BJP State President BY Vijayendra, many political leaders and officials will participate, KS Sridhar said. The office bearers of the temple administration were present.
