“Defeat BJP’s Conspiracy in By-election,” CM Siddaramaiah Urges Public
Sandur, Oct 15: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah praised MLA E. Tukaram, stating, “Since becoming MLA, Tukaram has brought ₹1,200 crore in funds to Sandur. Tukaram means development, and development means Tukaram.”
Addressing the Sadhana Samavesha public meeting in Sandur, the CM inaugurated several projects and laid the foundation for new ones. He also dedicated completed projects worth over ₹400 crore to the people of Sandur.
He further credited Minister Santosh Lad and E. Tukaram for building 12,000 houses for residents in the region. “Their efforts have made a significant difference in Sandur,” Siddaramaiah said.
Calling for public support in the upcoming by-election, the CM urged people to teach the BJP a lesson. “BJP is engaged in conspiracies and smear campaigns against me. Let’s defeat them in the by-election,” he appealed.
Tukaram’s Loyalty and Leadership Praised
The CM highlighted Tukaram’s dedication to the Congress party, saying, “Tukaram contested the Lok Sabha elections because he valued the party’s decision. He deeply cares for the people of Sandur. Leaders like him are rare, and I urge you to bless the Congress candidate in the by-election and continue your support.”
Welfare Schemes and BJP’s False Claims
Siddaramaiah reminded the crowd that the government has successfully implemented five key guarantees, costing ₹56,000 crore. “We’ve fulfilled our promises, while BJP sits around spreading lies,” he said.
He also criticized the BJP’s claims that the state lacks funds, saying, “If that were true, how did Tukaram secure ₹1,200 crore for Sandur’s development in just one year?”
Karnataka Deserves Fair Share of Taxes
The CM expressed frustration over the lack of financial support from the central government. “Karnataka is one of the top states in tax contributions, but we are denied our rightful share,” he said. “The BJP leaders, including Vijayendra, don’t have the courage to demand Karnataka’s dues from the Modi government. This is betrayal of the people of Sandur and Karnataka.”
Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar, district-in-charge minister Zameer Ahmad Khan, labor minister Santosh Lad, PWD minister Satish Jarkiholi, MLA Latha Mallikarjun, and others. Senior leaders such as Allam Veerabhadrappa, Nara Bharat Reddy, and Mehraj Khan were also present.
