Bengaluru, July 10: Educated people have mega contributions for increased corruption and this is a worrying fact, says former Lokayukta Justice N. Santosh Hegade.
Inaugurating the 10th anniversary of “Vidya Soudha Group of Institution – VSGI, an educational institution, at Choudaiah Memorial Hall in the city today he honored meritorious students from class 10 and 12.
Speaking on the occasion he said that
educational institutions should prioritize the development of the good personality of students along with education. He called upon the youth group to come forward to fight against corruption.
There is a cure for all kinds of diseases but not for greed. This is because the corrupt have no fear of the law as the law takes 10 to 15 years to bring it to a logical conclusion. He said that there is an urgent need for change in society.
Education expert Gururaj Karjagi said that today the education sector is growing enormously and the role of teachers in nation building is unique.
Adichunchanagiri Mutt seer Sri Sri Sri Nirmalananda Swamiji gave blessings to students. Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Dr. K. Govinda Raj, environmentalist Salumarada Thimmakka, Dr. Na Someshwara and other dignitaries were invited by the president of the educational institution.
