Decision to adopt best practices for cyber security, data security in banks
Bangalore, June 24; “Bhavsara Kshatriya Co-operative Bank”, one of the leading co-operative banks with a history of more than a century, organized a conference of town co-operative banks on “Information, Security and Technology” in the city.
The conference organized at Ambedkar Bhavan was attended by the Presidents, Chief Executive Officers and IT team representatives of 150 urban cooperative banks. IT sectors from across the country participated in the programme.
Rudde Gowda, Senior Director of Karnataka State Town Cooperative Maha Mandal, said that safety is very important in town banks. Management boards of banks should take appropriate preventive measures for data protection and cyber protection. Special attention should be given to adopting new technology.
Bhavsara Kshatriya Cooperative Bank Chairman K.G. Ananth Kumar said, We have adopted the rules implemented by the central government in 2014 for data and cyber security. Adoption of more advanced technology and regulations is necessary. He said that the emphasis has been placed on improvement in our bank which has been existing for more than 108 years. Joint Regulator of Co-operative Societies P. Mahesh, Bank CEO J. Prakash, IT Head B.K. Dr. Gopinath, Chairman of Shree Thyagaraja Co-operative Bank. MR. Venkatesh participated in the conversation. Raghav Gupta, Director, Mind Mill Software Limited, Noida, Piyush Somani, CMO & CEO, ES Dis Software, Nashik, Ramkumar Shekhar, CEO, Yalamanchali Digital Solutions, Chennai and Bhaskar Parasuram, Director, I.T. Securities, Protech Microsystems, Bangalore, participated prominently in discussions.
