‘Discussions on to get regional office of Company Secretary to Bangalore’ – Tejaswi Surya

‘Free education to Agniveer’ announced at the two day conference of SIRC Regional Corporate CS.

Bengaluru, Dec. 1: Bangalore South BJP MP Tejaswi Surya on Friday stated that all efforts are being made to get sanction for establishing Regional Office of Company Secretary to Bengaluru.

Company Secretary Affairs is functioning under the Union Statistical Affairs of the Central government.

Addressing the two-day SIRC Regional Corporate CS conference organised at Hotel Capitol here, Mr Surya said Bangalore has the highest number of Company Secretaries and it is imperative that our city gets a Regional Office.

“I will take up the matter with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. I am confident that the regional office is sanctioned before the coming parliamentary elections,” he added.

Surya said that there are hindrances in providing basic infrastructure to Bengaluru City which is witnessing exponential growth. There is no exclusive agency to look after the infrastructural needs of the city.

“Neither BDA, nor BBMP nor the BMRDA have prepared a blue-print for the long term development of the city. The result is that there are huge problems piling up in city,” he explained.

Stating that construction of underpasses, flyovers will not solve the traffic problems, Tejaswi Surya said it is essential to plan for the next 25 years. “If one were to see the Metros in other countries, I think Mass Rapid Transportation System is the long lasting solution. “In the next two years, one can reach International Airport in 40 minutes from Central Silk Board,” he said.

According to Mr Surya, we are living in an ideal atmosphere with strife being the order of the day in neighbouring Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

“Sri Lanka has collapsed economically. In Russia and Ukraine youth aged 18 and 19 are forcibly pushed to fight war. There are war clouds hovering over Middle-East. But India is safe under the able hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. About nine years back, almost 50 percent of people never had bank accounts. But Modi ji has strengthened conventional banking system,” he added.

Manish Gupta, President of Institute of Company Secretaries in India, said free company Secretary Course is being offered to Agniveers. “Mediation Counselling Centre will be commenced very shortly,” he added.

Parameshwar Bhat, President of Bangalore Chapter of Company Secretaries of India said qualitative changes are being brought in the functioning of the organization. The syllabus is being changed in accordance with the New Education Policy. “We have also introduced Artificial Intelligence in the course,” Bhat added.

Vice President of Bangalore Chapter of Company Secretaries of Ibdoa Pradeep B Kulkarni, in his address, said the two-day conference is unique with thrust and focus on strengthening the administration and functioning of the institution.
