The scheme aims to empower women financially
Bengaluru, July 19: The ambitious and one the five major guarantees – registration process for the Gruhalakshmi scheme was launched by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, Women and child welfare minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar at the Banquet Hall Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday.
Inviting the guests on the occasion Mrs Hebbalkar said that Gruhalakshmi scheme empowers women financially. Rs. 2000 means a lot for daily wagers and it helps to some extent to fight the price hike the society has seen in the recent days, she said.
As many as 1.28 crore family would be benefitted from the ambitious scheme. Services of Anganawadi workers, Panchayat Development officer, Tahasildar, Executive officers of women and child welfare department will be utilised to serve the service in an uninterrupted manner, she added.
Applications by Yajamani can be applied through BengaluruOne, KarnatakaOne, GramaOne amd Bapuji Seva Kendra.
Mrs Hebbalkar said that today is co-incidentally the day when Former prime minister Indira Gandhi Nationalised the banking services to ensure poor and needy gets loans wothout any hassles.
