Bengaluru, Dec.17: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said since GST related cases are approaching high court, a decision regarding forming a tribunal will be taken in the next meeting.
Participating in 48th GST Council Meeting online on Saturday, he opined constituting a tribunal will help in the speedy solution and also help in revenue for the state. Some decisions pertaining to law and fitment committees were taken.
As there is exemption for the government organisations from GST, discussions were held for extending this facility to the government undertaking organisations like BBMP, Bangalore Water Board and Electricity Board; what kind of services to be given concession, and also a few amendments. A decision in this regard will be taken in the next meeting.
Probe brings out truth
Replying to a question on the audio of Home Minister regarding PSI recruitment scam and efforts to hush up the case, Bommai said Congress MLA Priyank Kharge had released an audio but so far he has not given specific reply. “I don’t have information about that audio and the truth will come out through investigation”.
