Bengaluru, July 5: ACB raids are a continuous process, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
ACB on Tuesday raided MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan’s residence at Frazer Town, National travels office and three other locations.
Reacting to ACB raid, Bommai said, the ACB works on the basis of information and evidence. The raid has happened in the backdrop of a High Court order for probing the pending cases.
Replying to a question on protest by Zameer’s supporters, Bommai said, causing obstruction to discharge the duty and giving the raid a political colour is a common feature. It has become a Congress slogan. They will speak everything else except the case. There will not be any obstruction for the officials to discharge their duties, Bommaisaid.
Parappana Agrahara jail: CM assures action
“The State government has taken serious note of the happenings in Parappana Agrahara central jail. Action would be taken after getting complete details about it. These kind of irregularities are happening frequently there. It seems a group is systematically engaged in this kind of activity there. Such incidents were reported in the past too. It is prima facie clear that there are some (some jail personnel) who are colluding with the criminals and are corrupt. I will get a report and take action today itself,” Bommai said.
