Bengaluru, June 17: The increase in the age limit for recruitment into defence forces under the ‘Agneepath’ scheme from 21 to 23 proves that the union government under the leadership of Narendra Modi is sensitive to the needs of our people, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
As the recruitment process in the armed forces was affected in the last two years due to the pandemic, the Prime Minister has relaxed the upper age limit for recruitment through the ‘Agneepath’ scheme in the first year of recruitment from 21 to 23 years. “It will benefit a large number of youth. They will march gloriously on the path of service to the motherland and carve a bright future for themselves. I thank the Prime Minister on behalf of the youth of the country,” Bommai has said in a tweet thanking the Prime Minister.
