Bengaluru, April 14: The preliminary police probe into the suicide of contractor Santosh Patil at Udupi is on and an appropriate decision will be initiated based on the findings of the same, asserted Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai.
The opposition Congress demanded for resignation of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj minister KS Eshwarappa over the alleged corruption charges against him.
Speaking to reporters at his residence he said that there is no question of intervention of high command in this issue. They have only sought information into it.
The question of taking resignation does not arise until the issue is probed to logical conclusion, he retorted
Congress is purely politicising the issue. Murders have taken place and murder charges have been withdrawn. Anarchy had prevaild during the Congress regime. Congress has no morality.
Truth with regard to death of Santosh will be out soon after the completion of the investigation.
The allegation of corruption and commission prevailing in the office of BBMP is baseless. Let them provide documents and an investigation can be ordered, said Bommai.
When Siddaramaiah was Chief minister a number of corruption charges came to fore. Siddaramaiah’s name was heard in BDA mega scam. What morality Congress has to talk, questions Bommai.
