The news of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly admitted to Narayana Hrudayalaya on Friday for heart check up had spread like wildfire in the city. But the hospital authorities have clarified that the news is far from the truth.
An official statement from Dr Nitin Manjunath, Facility Director, Narayana Health City stated that, “Reference to the news of Mr. Sourav Ganguly, President, BCCI being admitted at Narayana Health City, Bengaluru that is being circulated, please find below the statement from Narayana Health City.
“We would like to clarify that the news of him (Sourav Ganguly) being admitted is incorrect. Mr. Sourav Ganguly was at the hospital to meet Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairman and Founder, Narayana Health on a brief, courtesy visit since he was in Bengaluru. Mr Ganguly will be inaugurating a Modern 100-bed ICU on Monday, Feb 14.
It may be recalled that a couple of months ago, Mr. Sourav Ganguly had undergone treatment for his cardiac related complaint.
