BBMP chief Gaurav Gupta on Wednesday directed BBMP revenue officials to achieve property tax collection of Rs. 4000 crore for the current fiscal.
Addressing a virtual meeting on property tax collection Mr. Gupta suggested revenue authorities to make use of advanced method, if need be.
For the present year, a revenue target of Rs. 4,000 crores has been set. So far, Rs. 2,667.77 crores has been and remauning target must bd accomplished, hd directed.
Those properties which are not under the tax net must bd brought under it. Dues from high value defaulters should be cleared. Legal actions should be enforced against them, Mr. Gupta suggested.
BBMP special commissioner (revenue) Dr Deepak R L, all zonal joint commissioners, deputy commissioners of revenue, joint commissioners of revenue, revenue officers, assistant revenue officers and other officials were present in the meeting.
