If the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) experts are to be believed, the rising graph of the Covid-19 begins its decline after touching the peak from January 25th.
Experts have also suggested the government to taper down the testing raye to 1.5 lakh from the current 2 lakh.
CM Basavaraj Bommai, along with state health minister Dr K Sudhakar, chaired a virtual meeting and ruled out lockdown option categorically and said an emergent meeting will be convened on coming friday to take a call on the on-going night curfew.
The Covid-19 graph pattern will be closely monitored to take a final call on extending the weekend curfew or not.
Extending the weekend curfew is pushing innumerable people into hardships. The night curfew so far has impacted many lives and there will be no lockdown, assured Mr. Bommai.
“We cannot risk people’s life to help hoteliers by lifting the weekend curfew.
We will go by what the the experts suggest. Centre and WHO’s advisory on COVID also be considered,” he emphasised.
Senior officials of the state government, health department and Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) experts were present in the meeting.
