Bengaluru, November 16
In the Belagavi session, mere discussion on North Karnataka’s problems is not enough; the government must take actions on them, said opposition leader R. Ashok.
Speaking after a meeting on the session’s preparations, he stated that holding the session in Belagavi will lead to discussions on the region’s issues. However, it is not sufficient for the government to merely provide responses; it must implement measures. There should be comprehensive discussions, and suggestions and recommendations should be obtained.
Government school rooms have not been repaired. Shoes and socks have not been distributed. I will write a letter to the Speaker about this. This matter also needs to be discussed at length. We will discuss special privileges for terrorists in Parappana Agrahara jail, the use of narcotic substances in educational institutions, the road pothole problem in Bengaluru, compensation for rain damage, and the deterioration of law and order.
We will hold a coordination meeting with JDS and discuss the struggle, he said.
