DCM DK Shivakumar instructs action against K R Pura RO for demanding bribe DCM exposes allegation that Gruhalakshmi amount hasn’t been deposited for six months

Bengaluru, Oct 18: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today instructed officials to take action against K R Pura Revenue Officer for demanding bribe to issue khata.

The DCM instructed the senior officials to take strict against KR Pura RO Basavaraj, following a complaint from a citizen about demand for bribe to issue khata, during the public interaction as part of Walk with Bengaluru programme at K R Pura. One Mr Sultan Mirza spoke to the DCM about the difficulty he was facing in getting the khata and about the demand for bribe.

“Investigate this and take action against the guilty officials before the end of the day,” the DCM directed the Commissioner of Bengaluru East Corporation.

Gruhalakshmi amount
The DCM exposed the lies of a woman who complained that the Gruhalakshmi amount had not been deposited for six months. A woman complained to the DCM that she had not received the Gruhalakshmi amount for the last six months. Assuring her of checking if there was something wrong, he called up the officials of the Women and Child Welfare department. Upon checking the status of Gruhalakshmi amount, it was found that the Gruhalakshmi amount was paid to her on October 3. The DCM read out aloud the SMS message that was sent to her mobile phone as a confirmation.

“The allegation of the woman is wrong. I was ready to take action against the officials but then truth came out,” the DCM added.

Threats
A resident of N R Layout named Vignesh told the DCM that one of his neighbours was not allowing him to enter the house he had built and that he was being threatened. “No one can threaten you. File a case in the police station, I will ensure action is taken by evening. But once you file a case, you have to stick to it.”
The DCM directed Corporation officials to visit the place and check the ground situation and take necessary action.
