Truth Triumphs

As soon as our government began the Social, Economic, and Educational Survey, the true colours of those who shout “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” have been exposed.

Bengaluru Express Sep 30: BJP leaders, one after another, are coming out in the open and calling for a boycott of the survey, thus standing exposed before the people.

The survey being conducted by the State Backward Classes Permanent Commission is not confined to any single caste or religion. It is a comprehensive survey of the social, economic, and educational conditions of the seven crore people of Karnataka. This survey is not against anyone; it is in favour of everyone.
Its main objective is to achieve social, economic, and educational equality and ensure fair and equal share and opportunity for all.

The ideology of Manuvad dictates that wealth, opportunities, and representation must remain concentrated in the same hands; the poor must remain poor, the backward must remain backward, women must remain deprived of opportunities, and inequality between castes and communities must persist. Unfortunately, this Manuvadi mindset is what lies deep within the BJP leaders.

Through this survey, our government will understand not only the conditions of Dalits, backward classes, and minority communities, but also those of the poor and deprived sections within the forward castes too.

This reality is something the BJP does not wish to acknowledge. Their opposition to the survey stems from the regressive idea that wealth, opportunities, and representation must stay confined to the privileged within each caste and religion.

In Bihar, their own alliance government has carried out a caste-based social, economic, and educational survey. A similar exercise was conducted in Telangana as well, and the BJP leaders there did not utter a word of opposition.
More significantly, the BJP-led Union Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has itself initiated a caste census.

The BJP leaders in Karnataka who oppose our state’s social, economic, and educational survey on the basis of caste must answer this: Do you also oppose the caste census being undertaken by your own Union Government?

If you do, have the courage to say it loudly and clearly.

Do you have the strength to speak up before your Prime Minister?

If not, why are you making yourselves a laughing stock before the intelligent people of our state with such foolish statements?

The people of Karnataka must see through this self-contradictory and hypocritical behaviour of the BJP leaders.

I humbly appeal to all citizens to ignore their politically motivated and misleading statements, and to participate fully and extend complete cooperation in the ongoing Social, Economic, and Educational Survey.

Together, let us build an equitable society and make Karnataka a garden of peace and harmony for all communities.
