Woken Up from Deep Slumber, But North Karnataka Still Waits!

Bengaluru express Sep 30: It’s good that your government has finally woken up from its deep slumber on the floods in Kalyana Karnataka. But for the people suffering here, your aerial survey is nothing but a photo-shoot. What they desperately need is real relief, right now.

Before your helicopter takes off, let the relief operations take off. Here are my sharp demands on behalf of the people:

1️⃣ ₹50,000 Immediate Relief for Every Family

Stop hiding behind excuses like “server down” or “software glitch” as always. Release ₹50,000 emergency relief to every affected family today. Don’t force flood victims to celebrate Deepavali in darkness because of your government’s delay and in efficiency.

2️⃣ On-Spot Survey, On-Spot Cheques

Ministers, MLAs, and officials must visit every village, assess crop and property losses, and issue cheques on the spot. This was the practice under the previous @BJP4Karnataka government. Why can’t your government do the same?

3️⃣ Health Emergency Preparedness

Floods leave behind the threat of epidemics. Deploy mobile health vans in every village, stockpile essential medicines, and launch wide preventive measures. Delay now will mean disaster tomorrow.

4️⃣ Special Package for Kalyana Karnataka

The people of this region are in deep distress. Announce and release a ₹10,000 crore special package for rehabilitation and reconstruction. Hollow announcements will not do – funds must reach the ground.

5️⃣ Total Transparency in Relief Distribution

Past experiences show how several victims have been left out, running from office to office for years. This time, ensure no one is excluded, no politics, no corruption. Publish full details of relief disbursed.

CM Siddaramaiah avare, the people of North Karnataka don’t need your “aerial surveys.” They need urgent action, transparency, and real relief. Stop wasting time on optics – start delivering results.
