Development works of Rs 125 crores initiated
Bidadi (Ramanagara District), dicemm Foundation stone was laid on Friday for development works of Rs 125 crores in 6 city municipal corporations and local bodies of Ramanagata district
Speaking on the occasion, in a program held at the Youth Affairs stadium, Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, District in-charge minister said that Rs 2000 crores would be spent to provide pure river sourced water through taps to 2 lakh households in the district. He added, out of this already Rs 1300 crores had been spent and it has been decided recently to release Rs 500 crores for further works.
Saying that of Ramanagara is the second fastest growing district in the state, he opined that sustainable development would be possible only when people involve actively in the development process.
Qualitative infrastructure is necessary to achieve development. Realising this, roads, drains, storm water draims, bridges, toilets, community halls, anganwadis would be built in city municipality and local bodies, he informed.
Narayan said Toyota and Suzuki companies located at Bidadi industrial area were ready to expand and generate 50,000 more employments. He also stated that skill development training would be provided for job aspirents to get them ready to make use of the job opportunities.
Manjunath MLA of Magadi, appreciated the development concerns of minister Narayan and said that he was always unbiased with regard to works in the district.
